Our Vision and our Mission

THE VISION

To lead women into the presence of God and to teach them to:

- be quiet at the feet of Jesus, to hear His voice

- to experience His presence

- to teach them to have a more personal relationship with Him

- to be an instrument in God's hands

How will we know our Vision is possible, but to look at some examples from the Bible. We don't always understand the Bible, because we don't understand the examples that were given us. I would like to use those examples to show you how faith works and that faith works.

First lets look at Martha and Mary

Martha were busy with a lot of stuff in the house, she was busy to look after her family and the guest and to feed them. She never allowed herself time to be with Jesus. Time where she could go and sit at His feet. She thought she knew what was expected of her, and had so much that kept her busy. Maybe if she were more organized, she could have made sure that everything was ready before hand. But she was a real busybody, who does not allow herself time to go and sit down. What could her reason be? Did she want to make a good impression?

No, I think Martha was jealous of Mary. She thought that through showing her virtue and by snapping at Mary for not helping, she could show Mary's lack and laziness. Remember that a woman's virtue and duties was all she had to get a husband? But Jesus was not looking for a wife and that is why He told Martha that Mary chose the good part and it would not be taken from her.

Luke 10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. (KJVR)

Does this not sound familiar? We as women are always fussing over everybody and everything. Why are you too busy that you do not have time to go and sit at Jesus' feet? Are you so busy that you do not allow yourself time to be still, even for a little while?

Secondly I want to look at Esther

We read that Ester's life was turned upside down. She was taken to be a queen and her life has been planned for her, she had no choice but to follow. Further her people were in danger, she had a huge crisis that needed to be handled. Then she did something really dangerous, she went to her husband, the king, because she knew she needed to talk to him.

You see in the presence of the King there is solutions and answers to all our questions and needs. The difference between her and us, is that we can go to our King, who is the King of Kings, without being afraid for our lives. Jesus made this possible for us when He died on the cross.

We read about the disciples and other people that followed Jesus, did you realize that there were women that followed Him too? The women who followed Jesus, had to pay a price. They had to leave their families and friends behind. Yes the price was high, but the reward in the end was Jesus' presence, and that made the sacrifice worth it. Jesus does not expect you to leave your family, but He does expect you to follow Him.

OUR MISSION

- to have a specific time or place where we can meet with God.

- to understand our womanhood and to bring it in line with God's Word.

- to discuss our uniqueness in Him.

- to help other women with time and priority planning.

Our time and place will be here on the blog, whenever you have time to visit. This blogs pot will be updated every week.

All our themes will be about the women of the Bible, to get to know them and to understand their circumstances.

To be a woman is to be a mother, a wife to your husband, a career woman and for some of us to be a housewife. I solute you all because whatever your duties are, in times like these we are living in, it is not always easy. Sometimes we tend to put our children before our husband, or our career before our family. At times everything and especially our husband are more important to us than our God and King. That is not what our Lord Jesus Christ wants from us. The most important decision we have to make ,is to put Him first. The Bible says when we put Jesus first, the rest will follow.

Matt 6:20-24 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. (KJVR)

Dear Lord.

Please help me to be the best woman I can be. To meet Your expectations of me and not those of myself or other people. Lord teach me Your ways, and about the other women You have given us in Your Word. Thank you Lord, for this opportunity, and every day that You are giving me. Please Lord help me to make the best of it, to do my best in every situation, and to accept Your help, where I don't know what to do.

Thank you Lord for my family, my husband and my children. Please help me to be the best wife and mother for them, and Lord help me to know when to talk and when to keep quiet. Give me the wisdom, I will need to deal with every situation, because I am week, but Thou art strong.

I pray this Lord because I need you.

Thank you Jesus that I can pray this in Your name, the Name above all other Names.

Amen
